Owen Store Made of 25,000 Paper Bags // Tacklebox Architecture

5

The stylish Owen store opened its doors in the West Village, New York. It was designed by Jeremy Barbour of Tacklebox Architecture. The 167 sqm. retail space boasts a striking interior that incorporates 25,000 paper bags on a continuous surface that arches from floor to ceiling on one side, and an exposed brick wall on the other.

The repetition of the paper bags results in a honeycomb-like structure that defines a warm, organic volume that sits within the existing industrial brick and concrete space.
