Belgravia Apartment in London // Intarya

This duplex apartment is located within a grand house in Belgravia and had been untouched for many years. Intarya were commissioned to create a full interior architectural and design scheme, including space planning, electrical, lighting and AV layouts, architectural detailing, joinery and hard finishes along with all other interior design elements.

The internal hall was mirrored to maximise light and give the room a sense of space and glamour. Formality and grandeur were brought to the open plan kitchen-diner with a dramatic colour scheme in opulent textures and finishes. A contemporary statement was made with the mosaic wall art and the understated, yet luxurious, table dressing.

The gentle colour palette flows from room to room, creating a sense of harmony in the apartment and yet allowing each room its own identity. In the Master Bedroom, all walls, the bed and wardrobes were fully upholstered in soft tumbled linen. Hand-painted and gilded bedside tables add a feminine touch. Every detail was carefully considered, such as the hand-embroidered bespoke cushions.

The third bedroom was converted to a Study/Media Den which could be turned into a Guest Bedroom. Here, the walls were clad with a faux pony skin wall covering, adding a textural element to this otherwise restrained space.
