Post-it Installation // Tato Architects

5

Yo Shimada, founder of the Japanese studio Tato Architects, surprises us with this spectacular installation made with his students at KUAD for the gallery Artzone. As one event of six shows held within the space, Japanese calligrapher Miss Kasetsu utilized the structure with the colourful form as a backdrop and as an interactive element. For the design firm’s first art installation, Yo Shimada explains that ‘It was necessary to make the installation from paper to complement Miss Kasetsu’s perfomance’.

During the course of the event, which included other performances, audience members were encouraged to leave impressions in Post-it notes on a nearby vacant wall.
