SS’2013 is inspired by the Austrian book ‘Masterpieces of arms and armour’. As a continuation from SS’2012 Damien Ravn has focused on bonding fabrics, i.e. silk velvets with hi-tech breathable 3D ‘spacer’ neoprene. He also worked with laser cut metallic hued and black patent leather. Feminine contrasts arrive in pastel colored latex, metallic coated jerseys, nude lycras and nylons. To balance the rigidness of the constructed pieces we used materials mainly intended for underwear. Handmade laminated leather collars, closed with a long black velvet ribbon, serve both as a necklace and a collar. Raw-cut iPad clutches in laminated metallic leather with black velvet ribbon closing serve both as an iPad case and a clutch.
