This stunning apartment belongs to the designer Harriet Anstruther and her husband, the photographer Henry Bourneand, and her teenage daughter from a previous marriage. Harriet Anstruther has designed everything from scarves (two of which are in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum) to hotel rooms, and who consults for fashion and lifestyle companies, and for British institutions like the Design Museum — restored the elegant late-Georgian architecture of the house (which had been divided into three apartments) while making sure that the rooms weren’t slaves to it. |
Wherever you look, traditional is engaged in conversation with modern, old furniture and art with new, and bold colors with white walls.
