The focus of Alice Fern’s collection is on movement and textiles, looking at how twisting material on top of and around the body in an unusual way can both restrict and enhance mobility. One of the most important factors in the collection is the preparation of the cloth; bleach ombre print is combined with different textile techniques to form a base to the garments. |
By adding unique surface texture it helps to further effect the movement of the garments through restricting the fabric, as well as acting as a contrast to the natural fluidity of the material.
